Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an evidenced-based therapy that is highly effective in treating mood and anxiety disorders. It is a skill-based modality, which includes
individual therapy as well as a skills group.
Teenagers who might benefit from this work are
struggling with strong emotions, suicidal ideation,
self injurious behaviors, and/or relationship difficulties.
DBT Skills Groups meet weekly for six week sessions.
Each six week session focuses on different modules,
which include mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
